Kansas City's Historic Hyde park

The popular fly-casting pool at Forty-first Street and Gillham Road gave residents a place to practice casting without having to leave town. On certain days, the facility was reserved for children wading. The 1913 casting and wading pool designed by George E. Kessler was rebuilt and enlarged in 1940 and removed in 1976.
