ReBuild KC Tree Plantings

HPNA’s ReBuild KC grant application for new trees along Gillham Road has been approved! The award of $55,000 will fund new trees based on locations and species identified in the original tree plantings plans along the Gillham Road parkway by George E. Kessler. Additional trees will be planted along the parkway north of 39th Street this fall.

Who: 100+ Heartland Tree Alliance Volunteers

When: Saturday April 20 from 9 AM to Noon

Where: Gillham Road from 39th St. to Brush Creek Blvd.

If you are out and about in the morning, stop by and thank the volunteers for helping us restore the tree canopy of the historic Gillham Road parkway.
